Questionnaires

We are carrying out research into various aspects of bringing up children & teenagers with Asperger's Syndrome and invite you to spend 10 minutes of your time to give us your views.

Many children with AS fall through the gaps in the system, and we feel that not enough is being done to cater for those that have effectively been excluded from society. These children are at risk of failing, as they cannot be catered for in mainstream schools, and specialist AS schools are few and far between, and even if there is funding to attend a special school, there's no guarantee these children will survive there either.

We want to get a snap shot of your experiences of the systems and services provided so that we can discover what, if anything, needs changing.

We've so far developed two questionnaires, concentrating on areas that we feel most affect our children with Asperger's: the first relates to Health and Education, and the second to Support and Living. The questionnaires have kindly been donated by ViewPOINT, a UK based company that specialises in providing bespoke questionnaires, surveys and on-line constultation tools especially to Local Authority Children's Services Departments and Youth Offending Teams, amongst others.

Each questionnaire will take no more than ten minutes to complete. If you wish to be informed of results please remember to leave your email address. We are planning to make results available by July 2010.
